Dead Folks Blog

I love blogs. I like them as a concept, I like reading them, I like finding new ones. The bloggophire is always filled with the new, the now.

Recently I found one I really love. It’s more of a project completed in blog form, but it has nothing to do with the latest and greatest. Ancestors of Kitchener is based on a single panoramic photo of the employees of the Merchants Rubber Company taken on September 11, 1928. The author, Lynn Shwadchuck, is now scanning the image of each person and is digiatally isolating them. The rebirth of an bit of local history.

Obviously a labour of love, and beautiful in concept and execution.
